HOW TO BEAT MONDAYITIS, EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK
Your alarm abruptly ends that lovely dream you were having of drinking margaritas on the beach. You quickly realise it’s the morning and as you rub the sleep from your eye, that soul sapping feeling of the dreaded Mondayitis is back again!
How can it be back so soon? Friday feels like it was just yesterday.
You roll out of bed with zero motivation to kick off your work week and have no idea how you’re going to do it. For me, coffee is always a good start but it will take more than caffeine to get this motor running.
We have all been there whether it’s the start of the work week or simply a midday slump in drive and motivation. Look around the workplace. Has Barry got his head down reading that report or is he just pretending and trying to get in a couple of minutes of shut eye without anyone knowing.
Sometimes it’s really hard to pick yourself up again from that sad place and start fresh. 20 coffees a day is just unhealthy too so there must be some other way to help with the struggle.
We are all different so some things will work better than others depending on your lifestyle or character. It can be as simple as looking forward to that awesome lunch or piece of cake you have waiting for you in the office kitchen or as complex as getting out of the office and going for a massage.
The end result must always be the same and that is to come back with a spring in your step and punch out the rest of the day.
